My home away from home. I've attempted to translate my deep roots (pun intended) from the woods of Western NY into something palpable through the use of gold leaf, pressed grass, repurposed bark, acrylics, oils, silicone, and resin on canvas.
These intricate pieces vary in size from 4' x 2', 4' x 3', and 6' x 5', with a strong sculptural component.

I used a combination of acrylic, wax, oil, pastels, rust, and liquid iron on canvas.
These pieces vary in size from 8' x 3', 3' x 2' and 5' x 4'.
In an attempt to capture the freedom, strength and spirit of the wild horse, I used strong earth elements of liquid iron, water, rust and acrylic on canvas.

This portrait was a unique creation of texture and depth from its conception. I decided to explore wax with its malleability and form alongside some of my other more commonly used materials. This portrait evoked a soulful sentiment for my father, and needless to say, it currently hangs on the wall of his home in NY.

The largest commissioned horse piece, "Soul Sisters" is an 8' x 3' acrylic and oil on canvas. It was a special journey and a labor of love. Broadening my horizons with a new format size, this piece continues to inspire me to create on a larger scale.

...of color and texture. Taking a departure from my usual representational style, my abstract pieces allow me the expression of freedom of form in an adventurous and spirited way. The arbitrary way with which I blend techniques and mediums (often rotating the canvas as I work), gives birth to an unexpected compilation of color, texture, and design.
